Go with what Zabeard said, the Chevy springs.
I have 4" blocks on mine too. Along with shackles and Deavers. The blocks don't make any noticeable difference over the stock blocks. I've punished mine pretty good with no ill effects....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH I laughed pretty hard when I read that.

New leaf pack FTW. If you don't want to do that I also say an AAL and shackle.

LIFT BLOCKS ARE SUPER AWESOME!

Doing it right may cost a little extra money but its worth it

any lift block can be used in the rear and safely you just have to do the appropriate mods to have them

anything 4" and under really doesnt require much, esp on a <200hp truck.

I have 3" blocks on my SD.... Soon to have 4, but I will have traction bars.

zabeard, do you make your own traction bars to? theres a good video on youtube of a cj8 showing axel wrap and snapping the driveline, then it shows after the traction bars installed, i dont think it even had blocks and had mad axel wrap.

thats a CJ8 for you. the CJ8 is just that way becasue the springs are so light, they are not hauling anything in a CJ8. Rangers and trucks in general usually have decent leaf springs to help control that wrap. Yes I have made my own, there really isnt much to them. I plan to make some for my Superduty to get rid of the violent shifts and control axle wrap. My Ranger doesnt need tractions bars. It is all linked.

Ty, I'd go with Expo leafs, Belltech's, and the factory 2.5" block. That's damn near what I have, but the RCD is just a lil bit longer than the Belltech. If it were me, I'd throw a 3" block in there with an expo leaf pack and the Belltech. This is gonna be your cheapest route man... Leaf packs are spendy...

You won't have any driveline problems. I've flexed mine out good a few times and never had any issues concerning that.

Dude.......best idea IMO is Tre's setup. Explorer springs, stock 2.5" block, and the RCD 9" eye to eye shackle(aka 3" Chevy drop shackle). Don't forget your pinion shims. After riding in his, holy shiz it rides AWESOME and mines a brick. And his setup is a cheap *** setup to set up too. I can't wait to bolt those Expo's under mine!

Edit: looky there...Tre posted. lol.
