So your smashing the tube to hold on to the MAF? That's why your having problems. Just buy a real intake. It's certified and it looks a lot better.

No they wont give you a carb sticker because the intake hasn't been tested to make sure it doesn't cause your truck to polute more.

u should market that and sell it, im sure u can sell quite a few of those...along with a 20hp computer chip, tornado, magnetic fuel saver and other assorted goods.
that is a bad design. it is drawing hot air in from the engine bay, then routing it through a metal tube right over the radiator...only thing u are allowing is removal of the "restrictive" factory intake tubing and adding a poor'r filtering filter element.

Exactly, the intake is sucking all the hot air in from the engine, you notice how the stock air box is sealed? If you put in the stock box and make it so you can run the conical filter then make a sort of ram air into the box you'll get the most performance and can still have the bling! The main thing is just finding a way to seal the box away from the engine heat.
