Pop Lock Tailgate Security

I installed one of these Pop & Lock units last night and promptly removed it.
Horrible fit, key jambs, tumbler contacts parts of handle and the mechanism just plain sucks.

Returning it for refund today.

I read others reviews of this thing and even though most said it was kinda crappy, I tried it anyway.
Live and learn.

I have the power electric one, it's great. Never has given me any problems and works off the factory keyless so I don't have to deal with another key. You should have bought that one.

I've had no problems whatsoever with my electric Pop N Lock PL8200. It's been in use for about 4 years.

I got a Pace and Edwards powergate tailgate lock from autoanything.com and I gotta say it really sucks. It cost me about 100 bucks and it was the biggest waste of money. When I went to install it, it did not fit right I had to bend and cut it to make it fit. It has barely any power and does not work half the time. Then on top of that i tried to return it and autoanything would not return it because I had it for over a month........ B.S.

It should assuming that your A/M lock solenoids shift from lock to unlock by simply reversing polarity. Most do.
