Well I have a narrow tire, 10.4" wide, should I get a spacer or something for some backspacing?

Backspacing has nothing to do with the tires, its all the rim. You'll be fine, people run 33x10.5 with no problems. I didn't notice any change with my 32x11.5

Well I mean if the tires are sticking out farther from the center of the truck, its a wider wheelbase right?

You can rock your stock wheels if you want, with a tire that's equivilent to a 33x10.50 but in 16" form.

Just remember...12.50 tires DO NOT belong on 7" wheels...

I LOVE driving DistrubedESV's BL'd manual truck. It's got the extention on it. The throws are longer than stock because well, you've made the shifter taller. Other than that, it's just like stock. Relocation of the bezel on the floor may be needed.

Will I notice a big difference on the highway and feel like Im going to tip? My buddy put a 3" bl on his taco and said its really flimsy on the highway. [/quote]

No. And it's a damn taco. lol.

You can get new wheels for a hundred less than that(15" steelies)

You can get new wheels for a little more(16" steelies)

Well no extra money now until the end of summer, then I'll prob get some wheels, but I have been reading that the cragar soft 8 steelies are too heavy and kill your break components. And aluminum wheels are so much more expensive. I might still go with the soft 8s though, with a wider rim than stock, say 8", my tires will physically be not as tall right? But a little wider? Or no?

why would steel aftermarket wheels wear out your brake components, when from ford you can get steel wheels from the factory on your truck??

My kit came in, so apperently the only thing that isn't right with the summit on an 03 is that they include the wrong size fuel filler extensions. I was told I can get the right size at autozone. I want to get them before I start the install, so what size do i need and what exactly do I ask for?

There were like 3-4 guys that told you the shifter extension would be the wrong size and just take yours off to make sure you get the right length

no one told me that man, the kit doesn't come with a shift extender you have to order it seperately, which I did.

So at auto zone I tell them I want a fuel filler extension and they'll know what I mean? or is it just going to be a piece of hose and clamps?

no autozone will look at you like a moron you just need a right size piece of pipe... PA and Summit get it wrong because ford use's about 3-4 different size fill necks and vents.. does NOT matter with year...
