Beemers and mercedes are cool, but just not me..Its ford, and its got a bed..
my advice.. grab one of those coronas,..sit back and write an ad..sell it to a kid with just enough money and the urge to own his(or her) very first vehicle. then go pic up something fun and sleek and shiny and roll up to the clubs and pimp the beezies..
I have a dinstinct feeling that our defenitions of classy are somewhat different. But how bout a new charger..all blacked out?? could be fun eh?

2wd's are so easy to lift...if I had one, it's be on 35's no doubt about it.
Anyway...if you do get a new truck, go all out. That was always my problem. I sacrificed on too many vehicles...that's why I went through 6 brand new trucks/suv's in the past 6 years.
First it was a tacoma with a reg. cab and a 2.4...then it was a ranger with a reg cab 3.0...then it was a dakota with a reg. cab and a 3.9...then it was a ranger with a 3.0...then a wrangler with a 2.4...and finally, I just said screw it (a year and a half ago) and bought the biggest damn motor I could get in the truck that I wanted. I'm happy.
When you're rolling around with an engine that's the 'second best'...you're just not happy...at least I wasn't anyway. I'm happy with my truck...sure I get bored at times, but then I'll do something fun with it, like add a tonneau cover ... and now I'm getting new tires (BFG A/T's). Then I'm pretty sure I'll get a cap next.

I would be perfectly content with the Ranger if I could get a project vehicle, but I have nowhere to park it/work on it we just had to add an extra paved spot at my house so I could fit my truck and In suburbia there just isnt much room to add.
the 2 main car's I'm considering are the WRX and the mercedes C230, both are 4 door sedans but are really sporty. I want something that will retain value and come with a certain amount of respect. It may be a ways off, but I only owe about 2500 on my truck and could pay that off in a second if I wanted to but my loan still has 2 years left. I dunno if I'll be satisfied with the truck for another 2 years. It would be alot easier if I could find a damn explorer center console ( been without any armrest for about a year now :(... )

do what i do........ grab some music you really like and go for a nice long drive on some back roads/state park/secluded area. some place you normally wouldnt go, and just enjoy the ride and the truck as it is. or think of some place you havent been to recently and make a road trip.
im kinda the opposite, i want to do some more mods but dont have the time/money right now. i just pick a back road ive never been on before and see where it takes me. i always end up appreiciating my truck for exactly what it is.... my own little getaway from stress and the real world.
[edit] or start a new hobby. i just took a fly tying class, and now im slowly becoming obsessed with fly fishing... now that is taking up all my money, and giving me ideas for new mods.

Trust me I'm right with you on all that. About 2 years ago me and my best friend got bored and just got in his truck and drove North. No destination, no Highways. We found a lot of interesting things and places and we have been just driving like that about 3 or 4 times a week and we always try and go a little further and take different roads each time. We go back and forth between my truck and his Sonoma depending on who has enough gas.
The problem lies in that he prefers to drive because I scare the crap out of him with the way that I drive vs the capability of my truck. On those drives I can appreciate hanging with him and talking about girl problems and what to do with life or I can appreciate the sights and nature and the helpless creatures we run over or shoot at with the 12 gauge, but I just can't appreciate my truck... It's slow, it handles like crap, it only holds 2 people comfortably, no one covets my truck ( except for my little brother who cant drive yet). The more I think about it the more I really dislike my truck. I love the Ranger and more importantly the Ranger Community, but specifically my truck just doesn't do it for me.
I've been trying to get into using my Digi Rebel more but I work during the good photo hours so all I have time for is night pics....boring!
