Icon4 Need help finding a....

My spare tire carrier rusted and had to be taken off my truck, and my current method of a wire and lock is taking up a lot of bed room.

I was wondering can i buy one third party, or from Ford?

the crank broke? or the whole thing?

you really should not remove that unless you have too. that is a big structural thing for the frame.

Yea junkyard would be your best bet unless you are good at fabbing, and have a welder

Gonna try to hit junk yard tommarow after class.

Im have almost no knowledge of vehicles let alone how to weld. I was raised by my Mom and Grandma so dont bash on me to hard.

Im willing and trying to learn more about how my truck actually runs and works, just hard to do when you got no one to teach :\

Ok in my LMC catalog it shows one for a ranger without a rear mounted gas tank that isnt a crank.

They have a crank style for a Explorer that looks like its the right one.

The part numbers are 50-0961 for the Support Assembly, thats 79.95. The Lift Assembly is 50-0970 and 84.95.

Samething happened to my 97. Took it off and now the spare's in the bed. I just take out the spare whenever I'm using the bed for something.
