ya...theyre usually custom built into a bedcage thats sunken into the bed's floor...

 

ive seen one as a tailgate but i cant find it again lol i loke the big *** ones to

 

Ive only got a single tire carrier - our truck isn't big enough to have 2 33's side by side.. they would have to be set long ways.. so i'm not sure if there is any way to make a tiregate carrier for 2 spares - the weight of them would bend the bedsides alone :-(


Look into doing what was mentioned above.. fabricate something by getting some good steel tubing and cut out the bottom of the bed and work with the frame and design something that way - its the best idea by far for mounting 2 spares like that

 

yea, longways (just like they would be mounted) is the best bet. look at adams'. mind you his bed and the rear of the frame is custom but you could do something that swings out fromt the bed and lowers closer to the ground.
