Brake Parts

Replaced my my brake pads 2008 Ranger Sport 4x4, each caliber has two lubricated bolts with rubber washers on them ,they are not the same each one is different , i am not sure if i put them in
right now my brakes are starting to squeak ,does anybody know which bolts goes in the top
and which one goes in the bottom of the caliber, on most vehicles they are the same. Thanks.

brakes squeak for the first little bit. what bolt are you referring to? the two that pull the pads closer? they have an accordion looking rubber thing on them. if it's those, they don't have to be removed to replace pads.
i did mine last month or so and i don't remember any rubber washers.

Yes,the caliber bolt slide pins, when you do your brake pads you are suppose to remove and
grease them , my problem is that i removed both of them from the caliper and then did not remember which one goes where ,they are not the same. the rubber sleeves on them are different. not sure if i installed them right
. probably makes no difference anyway who knows i have a 50 50 % chance of getting it
right.

i didn't remove them. i just made sure to grease the parts of the caliper that make contact with the mount.
