I am replacing the parking brake cables on my 08 2 wd for the first time however when I pulled the drums off the cables were completely rusted away.
I can't find how it is set up. My Haynes manual is of no use anybody have a picture of the set up?

 

parking brake cables are large dia. and are easy to see how they attach. do you mean the rear self adj cables which do rust away. they are about 1/16 " dia with a large washer hanging on the top spring pin.
