Broke a rear window pane

Well last night my buddy was dicking around and slide my rear window open. So I turned and slammed it shut. Then the rear driver window spider webbed all the way across and splintered.

So my question is can I have just the one pane replaced or do I need a whole new rear window.

here's an old pic to give you an idea:

You buys da whole thing.
If it was just the center you could get a plexi replacement .
You probably didn't like that shade of tint anymore anyhow.

Just get a whole new one from a junkyard, they aren't hard to remove or install. And what the **** is up with that light on your 3rd brake light?

My mom works at a glass shop. She says you gotta buy the whole thing. She says for the late 90s model (I didnt know what you had) it was $280. Or you could buy the non-slider, which is just one big piece of glass for $220

Thats not a light. It looks more like a rocket booster.

The light is a work light that he installed. Perty sure he drilled a hole to mount it... eek. I thought he said he removed it tho... he did say the pic was old.

I called a glass shop today and they quoted me $200. I've had the thing out before to put a new seal on so I know it's not to hard. I just need to go find a new one. Time to junkyard hunt lol. Thanks for the info guys!

The light was just a work light I had for awhile. It's gone now, old pic, prelift and stock wheels/tires.

I am so pissed I went Hulk mode on my own window. I'm been salty all day >:(

car-part.com is telling me about $100 is going to be the price at a junkyard where they pull it. Plus a new seal is $15-$20. Not too bad really.

Junkyard is your best bet. if you have a razor blade and some thin metal wire, you can pull it yourself.
been there, done that. except mine wasn't my buddy dickin around. it was a foot. from a girl.
i paid my glass guy at the dealership in Double cheeseburgers to install mine. but mine has butal in it. yours may be urethane.

When I replaced the seal it came right out. I just undid the 13 nuts and pressed it out with a little umph. I left it out in the sun all day to loosen up the seal. No biggee.

The 98+ ones are set up a bit different than the 93-97. Maybe that was your problem. Not sure, never worked on a pre-98.

And I really wish a girl had knocked mine out, then I wouldn't be as pissed. That is how my arm rest broke though I hate my standard cab with a passion lol.

Dosen't get much better with extcab either. Get an Air Mattress.
I think Troy said something about ext cab are different than reg cab anyways. reg cab are seal type, ext is urethane/butal.
