Fill engine with oil
Look for the ignition coil, follow spark plug wires
Unplug its 3 wire connector, that will disable spark so a No start
Press gas pedal down to the floor and HOLD IT DOWN, this turns OFF Fuel Injectors, so no gasoline will go into the engine while cranking
Turn key to START and crank engine over a few times, up to you how much, I would do at least 3 cranks counting to 5 slowly each time.
The pressing down of the gas pedal to WOT(wide open throttle) with RPMs at 0 will tell the Computer to start Clear Flooded Engine Routine, this turns off fuel injectors so engine can be "dried out" if it should ever Flood, all fuel injection computers have this Routine, not a Ford thing.
As soon as you release the gas pedal even while still cranking fuel injectors will start again, so keep it pressed down the floor the whole time.
I use this daily on my HIGH MILE 4.0l, I build up oil pressure before I let it fire up if it sat over night or ??, so no "dry starts"
You want the fuel off so you don't wash off assembly lube from piston and rings while cranking to fill passages with oil

A TSB From Alldata, I deleted non relevant information from this TSB for easier reading.
ISSUE
Reports of premature engine failure suggest some overhauled, new and/or remanufactured engine oil Systems are not correctly primed prior to initial engine start-up, after being installed in the vehicle.
This may cause oil starvation during initial engine start-up.
ACTION
Prior to starting a new, overhauled or remanufactured engine, the oil pump and oil system should be primed to eliminate the possibility of oil starvation at start-up.
Similar to what RonD suggested yet I suggest also disabling the fuel pump as outlined by Ford to eliminate the chance of fuel getting into the engine while priming the oil pump.
Overhead cam engines, whether overhauled or remanufactured, prior to starting the engine, ensure the engine crankcase is filled to specification with engine oil.
Disable the fuel supply to the fuel injectors (disable inertia fuel shut-off switch) and crank the engine in fifteen (15) second increments, until the oil pump is primed.
An oil pressure gauge can be used to assist in determining when oil pressure is obtained.
NOTE ENSURE THE INERTIA FUEL SHUT-OFF SWITCH IS RE-ENABLED PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING TO START ENGINE.
