Small Toolbox Ideas...

I am searching for a small, aluminum tool box for in the bed of my truck. All I can seem to find are the large, expensive ones. I want one that is lockable, and just large enough for a tow strap, small tools, jack, socket set, etc, so about 15" or so long and thin. I want to bolt it to the back of my cab or on the fender well or something where I don't have to remove it to carry some wood or other large items. I want something similar to the "fenderwell" boxes but those are a bit too big and way to expensive. I don't have access to a welder or i'd make my own.
The only think I can think of is getting a hand-carry box and bolting it to the bed. The problem with that is I don't think the lid will open if it's bolted to something.
Any help?

That's the best one i've found so far, but it's still a bit too big for what I want but it may work.

You should look at an over-the-wheel-well type box.. thats what I have been looking at.. somethign to stick on the right side of the vehicles wheel well to help compensate for the full tank ranger lean

I actually thought about an ammo box, they come in pretty much the dimensions i'm looking for, and they're sturdy and lockable. I just want something cheap that I can bolt to the bed but still be able to open the lid.

Whata we did for our 16' trailer is took two 30MM amo cans I think there deminsions are something like 18"L x 8"W x 14"D they cost me 30.00 dollars for the pair with a can of spray paint to finish up . it has the two open latches one on each end , just tack one in place via weld or some 2 part epoxy and the other end you can lock on the latch would be perfect for your aplication .

Well I put this in a while ago and forgot to update this thread...so I got a $15 steel carry tool box, and bolted it in to the bed. I keep a little suitcase lock on it too lol. I usually have a tonneau cover on the bed so it doesn't see any water or snow.
