Hey, I have a question. Are frames that are compatible to a 2001 Ford ranger xlt 2.3l 4 cylinder engine? I am curious as the left side of the frame on the rear next to the bumper has badly deteriorated, and I am bringing it into the shop to get it fixed; so it had me thinking. I already found a repair kit for the areas that are affected, and watched a video that I seemed very simplistic. Bit it got me wondering about any full frames that are compatible with my Ford.

 

1998 and up have separate front and rear frames, riveted together
The regular cabs and extended cabs used the same 6ft beds so have the same rear frames, only exception was "Long bed" Ranger, with 7ft bed

So there are just 2 rear frame models, 6ft bed and 7ft bed

Front frames have 4 models
regular cab
extended cab
2WD
4WD

4WD have boxed front frame rails

Yes, rear frame rail repair sections are available, all pickups have issues with rear part of the frame rusting out, the tire throws up stuff which wears down the paint and rust starts
The rear leaf spring hangers often need to be changed as well

 

okay, so can all the rusted parts above be amputated and replaced with the rear frame kit repairs that are also above? I found a leaf spring hanger as well.
