Good quick way to cut 1/8" stock iron?

Picked up a 1/8" x 2" x 3 foot flat stock for making a couple brackets, and was wondering what the "better" way of cutting it to length is.. I was planning on using my dremel with some cutting discs, but I think it may take more then its fair share of discs with it to complete the cut.. any good ways that are somewhat "cheap"? Any links to harbor freight or northern tool would be welcome too :-)

On a sidenote, I will be purchasing a bender from northern tool for bending it to spec.. sucky part is, they are out of stock currently :-(

youre really overthinking this. get a 5 dollar angle grinder from harbor freight, and find someone with a torch. You dont even need a torch, you can most definately hammer 1/8 inch plate into shape.

seriously dude, its 1/8 inch steel

hah, the bender wouldnt 'just' be for this, I've been needing one or an awful long time.. and gives me a reason to get a new tool

And yeah, I'll probably just get a quick cutoff tool for it

Edit:

I do love little projects.. gives you excuses to do things like this:

Yeah I picked up the 4.5" grinder from Harbor Freight when it was on sale for like 12 bucks a month ago, soooo much better than those little cutting discs on a Dremel lol

Yea Mike....i've been unable to bend you up your stuff. All I found was 1/4" stock....too heavy for your use of it. I was going to run over to the steel yard through their remnants for your stock and bend it up and take a drive into stevenson on mon or tues.

Hey Mike get cut-off wheels also, they go thru the metal so much faster than grinder wheels will.

New tool? RotoZip with 90 degree grinder/cutter attachment.
Do you have a chop saw? Buy a cutting wheel for it. You have to figure a way to clamp the material down.
Hacksaw?

depending what tools you have on hand:

1. 4.5" grinder with metal cutting blade
2. 7-1/4" circular saw with a metal cutting blade
3. reciprocating saw
4. jigsaw

I got lucky ud :-) Was at the hardware store downtown, and they have all sorts of flat stock and right angle stock there :-) 3 foot lengths, I piked up my 1/8 x 2" x 3' for about 11 bucks down there... and I plan on putting 2 lengths of right angle on the end to sort of "block" the bolts so no one can get a locking wrench around it to get them off.. shouldnt be hard at all :-) The big thing I would need a hand with, if your willing to help (and if you think you can tack wel a couple things) is the idea with Trevors bumper, to work behind the actual bumper and stabilize it a bit, tie it into the frame on more then those extension brackets to make it rock solid.. I already am going to be making a couple brackets to tie my bull bar into the bumper, but its still wobbly either way

Cutting wise, I was going to use my grinder originally.. but the last time I tried grinding anythign hard I found our 20 year old grinder really isnt up to the task.. needs some more amps and a stronger motor to keep spinning for the cut, flat stock would slow it down awful fast.
