Replacement fog lights

Hey guys! I'm sure that some of you have been plagued by leaky fog lights, and have had to replace them. The dealership wants $87 a piece for them, but I found some "aftermarket" ones on eBay for $33.95. Has anybody had any experience with these, do you think they are worth buying? Thanks for the input. By the way, they have a 1 year warranty.

I had both of my factory fog lights busted out not long after I got my truck and instead of paying for factory from the dealer I went to Autozone and bought a set of $40 fog lights. Then I modified my factory mounts to fit the a-zone lights. Works pretty nicely and if they get busted, just go to Autozone and get a new set. Pop the busted ones out and bolt the new lights in. I just had to replace the first set a couple of weeks ago.

How did you do it? The new light I bought leaks, and since they were mounted (how the hell else was I supposed to find out if they leaked?) no refund - only replacement. Buyer beware!

If you're asking me, I took the factory fog light out of the mounting bracket and the took the lens off of the bracket, I had to bust it out, you may have better luck getting it free though. Then I drilled two holes in the factory brackets where the aftermarket lights would fit correctly and bolted them in place. I also cut the connectors off of the factory wiring and put the quick disconnect plugs on the lights and wiring so it'd be easy to swap out if one of the lights happens to get broken. I'll try to get some pics this evening and the exact name of the lights, they're the only ones I found at the local Autozone or Walmart that will slide right in like they need to.

One thing you will need to do to the lights is to put glue or something over the hole that's in the light itself to keep water from getting in or else they'll get extremely nasty on in the inside.

Like I said, I'll try to remember to get pics of it this evening.

Edit to add: Pilot Fog Lights <---Those are the lights I used, except I got the ones without the screwed up looking neon ring.

my fogs always have fogged, i bought 2 replacements off ebay, which actually were a little more quality than the stock ones. They still leaked though. I did seal them all up with some crazy waterproof superglue type stuff and it held the water out great, until centralia. Now they are fogged up again, i'm not worried about it now, cause hopefully in the spring i plan on putting on a prerunner bumper which will eliminate the stock fogs.
