CB ANT Mount question....

Well I finally mounted my new firestick ant on the truck.. The problem.. The mount assembly order! I lost the instructions on it. It is one of the firestick mounts that is black plastic, 3" on the base and about 1" at the top. It seperates into a rubber washer and metal washer and the 3/8" stud.. Does the metal washer get put up against the rubber washer then the veh surface then 3/8" stud? Or does the rubber washer go against the mounting surface and then the metal washer the the 3/8" stud?? Thanks. Now I just need to retire the 15 year old radio shack cb!

the plastic grommet is to isolate the center of the antenna from the ground so you do not ground out the coaxial

Yeah I am aware of the grommet. but it has a 3" daim rubber washer and the 3" metal one. My ant is mounted on my bumper. Does the metal washer get sandwiched between the rubber and truck bumper or does it go below the truck bumper, help in by the 3/8" stud?

I would put the rubber washer between the bumper and the metal washer
