CB help

Im looking for an antenna for my CB. Is this the kit that I want?

http://www.wearecb.com/store/firesti...ck-p-2435.html
Its a kit, not just the antenna.

Will this antenna mount with one of "Alons CB Mounts"?

1. Thats the whole kit. Antenna, wire, connectors, everything. I can get just the antenna from them for $18, but then I would have to spend for all the other stuff. Radio shack is out of the question as they are priced too high.

2. The nearest truck stop is $20 in gas away.

Well, if the nearest truck stop is 20 dollars in gas away then get it online.

But I got my 3 foot firestick from a local truck stop that included the antenna, mounting bracket and coax wire. The connectors will come on the ends of the coax as well.

I got my Firestik, coax cable, and antenna adapter for $40.

It sounds as if the connectors are not attached to the 18' Coax. There is a small amount of soldering involved with some skill too. Also, do not cut the coax if you order that kit, as thew wire is supposed to be cut in certain lengths and not just willy nilly. Normal lengths are 3, 9, and 18ft. I think it has to do with meter length and partial wavelength sizes.

Depends on the type of antenna.

Do some research on google about the k40 vs Wilson.

I'm running a Wilson 5000 with a ground plane kit and its amazing for being a magnet mount antenna.
