haha, she's going in the autotrader...I'm in no rush to sell her so I'm starting at a high price. It's 60 or 70 for a "run until sold" ad. I'm still undecided weather I want to actually do it though...

I could get a "newer" level II or fx4 or xlt 4x4 and put a rcd/superlift and body and 35's, then just do all the little stuff over again. But that will cost me 3k at the least just to get it up as high as mine is right now....

Or I could just keep mine and buy a trail truck for a few thousand (I met a really good connection on bronco's) and drive this.

Basically I owe 12k, if I can't get 12k out of the truck, I can't get rid of it. The blue book is 9k on a trade in, so I'm screwed. And everyone KNOWS my truck is NOT perfect!!!!

KBB has my truck at 10k for private party...as it sits, I can't sell it, no one would buy it for 12k, but I may try, it only costs 60 dollars...

I got a LOT of mods done...plus I just did the transmission...I dunno what to do, I think it'd just be better to buy a trail truck and keep this for the DD...keep it nice (and working )

Heck yea, but I have to sell it for 12k plus 2100 (12k is what I owe right now, 2100 is from the tranny).

Then I'm looking at a stock truck...no mods...nothing. Superlift/front ds/bodylift/rims/35's is going to be upwards of 3k (I'm just guessing).

Then I'd be happy!! Cuz after the lift, it's all cheap.

It may be worth it jsut to list it, I'll list it for 14k or something, I dunno. I'm in NO rush at all, so it doesn't really matter to me.

There is the other connector that I mentioned before. It is a 4-pin round connector for the fuel tank unit. Follow the harness back along the inside of the frame rail from the 40-pin and you might be able to see where it branches off to the tank. I don't remember if you can get to that connector easily but my guess is that it is hidden above the tank.

I have a body lift, so everything has a nice gap between it

I think I saw what you are talking about.

I followed a tube (maybe of wires?) back to where my spare tire carrier is. It has another tank looking thing there. I have no clue even what that is. The connection is DEFINETLY muddy and most definetly got water in it. That is probably my problem.

Main question, what is that tank?

That is your evaporative emissions canister and it probably got full of water both in the wires and the in the canister itself. I would open the electrical connectors there and give them the dielectric grease treatment, too. Same story for the taillight subconnector at the end of the DS frame rail.

The wiring at the canister is not related to the fuel gauge fluctuation or its code, though. Those problems are in the wires that go to the fuel tank pump/sender unit.

my lift shipped to my house was 2300 and the body was 300 with the shift extension. and tires are gonna be 700-800 (Bfg Mud terrain) and some mickey thompson classic 2 are around 500 shipped.

Here is my Breakdown

2300
300
800
500

Total = 3900

+ money for gears locker get tires balanced

so that is over 4g's just in lift and rims and tires

o the money i could of saved going superlift!
