Duramax is made by isuzu thats owned by GM. GM does not make its own they bought a company that made a badass diesel. Chevy cannot even put the camaro back in dealers yet they keep putting it off a year. GTo was a mistake........ GMC is going down the tubes just wait untill they cannot pay back the bail out money and honda or somthing buys it.

 

My fiancé and her whole family are chevy people, so i take a lot of crap over my fords. So my advice is just do what i do and let your truck do all the talkin.

 

i got a 94 1500 with 278,000 miles and its seen more than its fair share of abuse and its still goin strong. granted the ifs is not the best ever but if you dont abuse it too hard it does what its suppose to.

Who cares, come on they are both amazing at certain things. The ZR1 owns and the Super Snake is a godsend. The F150 is tough as $hit and same with the Chevy. The only thing I can say is Ford has better limited editions. Such as the Harley Davidson, Platinum, King Ranch, and STX.

I will admit that I am a GM guy but I defiantly like the ranger better than the s-10. And yes the ZR1 will crush everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That car is unreal.

 

It is funny that there are people Dodge Viper ACR is better and will beat the Vette. The thing people don't realize that for the same price as the ACR you can actually have a radio in your car. The ZR1 ran 7:22.4 on the Nurburgring and the ACR did a 7:22 flat. Give the Vette one more run and I guarantee the Vette will beat that.

 

Chevy's dont run right unless they are leaking oil. A chevy racer told me that.

Well ive been on both sides of the fence and i have to say i like the ford better! Just feels like its better quality and more solid of a truck. I'd tell your roommate to take it to the trails or shut up!! I HEARD that GM, Ford, and chysler have offered all there employee's a 100% buy out to retire early. there gonna shut there doors. Banks with money are not lending like they used too and it's costing them too much to stay open and keep manufacturing cars and trucks they can't sell. We'll see......

He keeps doing it because he knows it bothers you. At like it's no big deal. It'll probably make him feel like a douche. I've owned a 2001 chevy 2500 6.0L v8. It had 100, 000 km on it. I sold it and got a 2000 F-150 7700 series with a 5.4L V8. The ford had about 185 000 kms and ran WAY smoother and was in better shape. I don't mind Chevy... Just Fords are better.

Here are some problems with the chevy trucks

03-06 has problems with the paint on the dash peeling off (black under the paint)

6.0l v8 seem to have a problem with some having an exhaust leak at the manifold causing a tick when the motor is cold.

Chevy seems to think tires are square

The g80 (chevy's locking diff.) breaks wayyyyy to often

03-06 Dash feels like its going to end up cracking in a couple of years.

Chevys have that cold start knock even on some after they supposedly fixed that problem

The steering shafts rattle around, they recalled this and replaced them with new shafts but they also do it after a couple miles.

They have problems with the guages going out in the cluster. Mine did it maby a month after I bought the truck.

In order to change out the radio you have to either buy an $80 adapter harness or an $100 adapter depending on yours trucks options.




Thats all I got. Most of these are the newer body styles but some apply to the old body style also.

Zip ties are funny. Every company has some lemons in the bunch, but as far as one being better then the other I dont really see it. I have seen F-150s and Z-71s with over 250,000 miles and still running fine.

I like fords interiors alot better then chevys. Rather then that I would drive either one. If it gets me from point A to point B and doesnt die between them, its a winner in my book.

 

No room to talk here my friend. Vette is Carbon Fiber not PLASTIC. It STILL has leaf springs because it gets the job done... Hence its record run on the Nurburgring. Easy on the insults, its not even on the Car companies. Don't blame them.

 

Sure. But have you ever tried to drive a z06 on the road? Its horrible. But yes, stick it on a track and it is magic.

I've rode in one on the road and it wasn't bad.
