well after just one week of having the new pipes running out of the flowmaster 40 and in front of the pass. rear tire they began to rust. I went out and bought some engine block paint good up to 500 degrees and went to town. I was thinking about tips but though that this may work out better later if i were to want to black it out (possibility).
here is the block paint that i picked up from Shucks:

it went from this only with some rust developing Attachment 209001

the paint went on and covered real well and i like the way that it looks. It was a gloss paint so it still that bit of shine to it in the right light.

painting it was quick and easy

been running it for the last couple of days pretty hard and it has had plenty of time to heat up and cool down many a times. It doesn't show any sign of chipping, cracking, or anything. hopefully i won't have to pull it off.
