Clicking Noise???

My truck has had this clicking sound when my heat or a/c is on since I got it. But now that im starting to use the a/c it is worse. And very annoying. when I turn the heat or a/c on some clicks really loud and my rpms jump for a brief second. Has anybody else had this or can tell me what to do????

I didnt know where to put this so I hope this is the right spot

That is normal. All the rangers do it.

Ford thought it was smart to run the a/c compressor like 90% of the time even if you have the heat up. The only time its off is off, face only, or feet only.

I thought it was off in OFF, FEET, or VENT only?

My truck does it also, it helps with moisture in the air by running the ac briefly, but is annoying as hell.

it really shoudln't be that loud though. I can't even hear mine in the cab when i'm driving down the road. I can notice the idle change but that's about it. Make sure the a/c system is charged.
