Junk yard scores.

Junk yard scores.
I went to the salvage yard and scored some goodies.
I finally found a set of center caps for my wheels, 15 beans. Were off a 2wd, so I had to punch the centers out of 2, no biggie. Not the correct caps but they fit and look better than not having any.
And I ditched the old 8.8 cause it needed too much and picked up another one for 100 bucks.
Out of an expo, 3L73. We all know what that L means. I'll get some pics here when they pull it and I go pick it up.
Got out for 121.90. Thought I did pretty damn good.
So now to get it all welded up and in.

So I went to pick up the 8.8 and they tried to get me out the door with a 99 3.55 Open.
When I noticed it wasn't what I had purchased I went back in and the lady I always deal with, Sandy rode out to the truck I had picked and the axle was still in it.
But, they had just got a Explorer 4x4 with axle D4, the same one I had originally picked, but newer with 45000 less miles on it. So she let me have that one. For the same price.
So for $100 I got a 98 with 68k, 3.73. L/S. The truck was immaculate. So needless to say it's in good shape.
Even the brake pads are still good. Very nice.
Cocoa Auto Salvage, good people, Sandy is a life saver.
