New Mod :) X-MAS GIFT Line of Fire!
Well guys - I got my new part in yeasterday for my truck. Waiting for a good time to install it. It is the Line of Fire. Which is the light bar that goes between your tailgate and the bumper.
I am so pumped to install it. My only concern is that the tape might not hold that well if I install it when the truck is cold. Has anyone every tried to use this 3M tape on stuff when it is cold? I really want to get it put on. I have been wanting one for so long. I will post pics of my actual truck when I get it put on! :D

Looks good Charles, I've been thinking about getting one myself.
I've tried 3M tape many times, and it always works better when done at the temperature they reccommend (around 70+ degrees).
With metal, I've had issues of water condensing on the surface (fogging) after I've cleaned it prior to installing the 3M tape.
I guess my rubbing action produces heat, which causes condensation. Then when I wipe the condensation, more heat, more condensation. You get the idea.

Sorry - now a more mature mind thinking again :) OK that sux about having to have the truck at a warm temp. I am in Minnesota so it is DAMN cold here this week. Maybe I will have to clean a spot inthe garage and get the truck pulled in there - I cann't wait any longer! I need to get this put on. :D

The Line of Fire Light Bar consists of LED Lights that never burn out or never need to be replaced. The Total Light Bar Brightens when you hit your Brakes. When Turn Signals are activated, either the Left or Right Side of the Light Bar Blink in unison with your taillights. The 1" wide safety Light Bar mounts in the recessed area below your truck's tailgate. Quick and Easy No-Drill installation with pre-applied 3M™ Automotive Tape. Includes 36" Long Cable with 4-Pin Flat Trailer Light Connector.
Although I'd chop that connector and hard wire the lights in. I dont' think I could be w/o my trailer plug..

I would hard wire and insulate w/ shrink wrap insulation. Then you've got the plug whenever you need it AND the plug can be protected from salt/moisture using a rubber boot. ..I feel like I need to replace the trailer hookup plug every year or two these days from the amount of salt that hits the roads every winter..

Charles:
Heat the strip of metal where the line of fire goes with a hair dryer. Then quickly install the lights before the metal gets cold again.
I was raised in southeast Mpls. and lived there till I was 29, so I feel for ya and the cold Minn. winters. The fact its humid there even in the winter makes it worse. Its gets as cold here in Montana, but the dry cold in Montana's much better. And go Gopher hockey teams. Both ranked No. 1 in the nation.
