Icon7 Check out my new bed cap

Hey everyone long time no post here i decided to get my account sorted out and reactivated so i could post here again if needed.
Since i was gone there has been a few mods done to my ranger like 3 1/2 dual rear exhaust pipes, and this used, but new to my truck bed cap which is made by a company called Jeraco i assume because of the sticker on the rear.

I Also have a few questions about the 3rd brake light on the cap also. Currently the wires have been cut almost completely off so i would have to rewire that somehow and the last owner decided to spray paint black over it. Should i attempt to fix this light or look for another to replace it?
Other question is about the cargo light. I was thinking about wiring it into my left rear tail light because i have the one with a separate amber for turning. Was going to use the parking light wire for the cargo light (Brown i'm assuming) and then the main brake light wire for the 3rd light (Lt Green i think). Is that a good idea? or should i run wires from somewhere else?

I'd look into getting another light. And pulling power from a tail light is fine. At least your brake/ turn is independent.

Yeah i'm starting to think that might be the smartest move. Wonder if i can find another that will bolt directly in without modifying the hole.
Glad i can use the tail light for power also just seems simplest. Need to find a good quick releasing connector for it.

Edit: After some searching i found this light that look like it might do the job

i measured the area of my light thats still installed it was like W 10.2" H 1" on the outside. Will that one i found fit ok? i can use some RTV sealant or something around its edges if there is any gaps.
