I'd say you're in for replacement hood, bumper, radiator support, fenders, check frame alignment (which they can pull out), door skin or two. $4k to $5500... your milage may vary.

to an extent it will be weaker .
i know on alot of expeditions we actually ended up replacing the frames under insurance . that might be an option in his case if its to bad .

You need a front clip. From looking at the way the hood shifted, I believe thats what caused the passenger side damage.
*if* you can get the hood open, check and make sure the radiator is in one piece. I would gather the Tranny cooler/A-c condensor is toast, but I doubt the accessory drive system was pushed into the radiator.
Doesn't look totalled at all. A whole new front clip is in order.. probably about 6500$ damage for parts and labor. ( I just bought a whole front clip unpainted.. hood, fenders, hedder-panel, bumper, vailience, was close to 2 grand. )
Out of all of this.. get rid of those bloody Wrangler tires, their horrible on all surfaces.

Sorry about the truck man. That said : it might be better if it was totaled . If it is to be fixed , you have to watch them like a hawk. Remember, it isn't fixed till you are satisfied or they can show it meets factory specs. I went through this with my old 01 ranger. It was 9 months old and had 32,000 miles on it. It was little worse than yours [ the drivers airbag deployed ] , the frame was bad but they insisted on fixing it [ $7,200 ] . The shop did a bad job on the frame and actually made it worse and kept telling me it was ready for pick-up, even though it was so far out it couldn't be aligned. I had to get it into another shop, that did better frame work. It spent 23 hours on the frame machine , by the time it was done. All the body work had to be redone.I kept finding hidden damage that they must have seen , but figured I wouldn't, that had to be fixed. The bill for fixing it was $10,200 not counting two windshields [they cracked the first one putting it in]. It still was never the same and I didn't trust the frame. If they do fix it , you must file a diminished value claim, because even after repairs the truck will be worth at least $3,000 less than before. I got $3,975 for my claim on my 01. After repairs are completed you have to get a specialist to appraise your vehicle, for diminished value. It cost me $300 but was well worth it. Good luck, bob

It shouldn't be totalled, just needs some new panels and parts.
And yes the frame can be fixed and the truck ride straight and true again. I know, because my frame was tweaked about 4 inches in from a wreck I had before last christmas and it rode just fine afterward.

Dude that sucks big time.... Glad you're ok though. Keep us posted on whats going on.... Watch them like a you've never watched before make sure you are happy with it. I kept sending mine back in to the shop... I had some rust damage and they had to replace the inner left fender and some other brackets. they were going to give it back to me w/out welding it back together and painting everything. they had my truck for 25 days and they told me it was only going to be 4-5 days..... be careful.... good luck!
