current Ranger to remain until 2011
#26
For personal greedy reasons i hope that the last year for the rangers would be 2008, just cause i have one. But it would be cool to see them stay longer aswell, i dont plan on getting another new ranger because i want to move up to a full size f-150, however i want to look into getting another older ranger for fun.

i agree and ford already has one, the explorer sport trac.
i dont think the "new" ranger will have 4 full size doors.
and personally, i wont buy something that is made overseas!
typical republican tactics, there trying to bust the union!
there will be no middle class in the next ten years! riots will erupt and the government will fall!
life as you youngsters know it will never be the same! you will have to get a real job doing real work! and you will still be low class.

The only reason we middle class people are becoming poorer is because everything is starting to go up in price, but we still aren't getting paid the same. All because of huge company mark ups, gas prices, and inflation (same thing as the first point, pretty much, just thought I needed a third point).

Here we go..
I agree on both parts.
Agree upon this as well!
Typical no-brained democrat douche-bag answer. Your a lot more intelligent then to make such a shroud comment. Operating costs are whats determining where things are being made. If a company cannot make a profit, the company folds, something you should already know with your years of life. If you don't, its too bad your son is living on what your generation voted into office.
Care to make another comment, Mark? I like ya mate, but if your going to talk like an idiot, you will be responded to in kind.
Nothing to do with the Ranger truck at all mate.

Fukit, Mark bantered, I'll play along..
We don't ' charge more ', we DEMAND more as people. Everyone wants 50$ an hour to sit and read a paper yet they complain they didn't get a raise or a new TV this past year.
Not true at all.
Why should wages go up when production of goods being made here has gone DOWN? Where are these new wages going to come from? Companies cannot just run and print money like our government.
Want to point a finger? Blame a ricer and those driving imports.
A while back, Myself, Griggs and someone else.. were all WAY different Politically.. we ALL stated the same thing.. ' BUY AMERICAN, your future depends upon it! '. My how thats become true.
The ' Patron Saint of Industry ' had his prophesies come true. Its QUITE sad but quite true.
The Small margins put into our economy from rice companies making their trash here is nothing compared to the input it has in those companies ' home nations ' holdings.

I hate to say this big D., but show me one of the big 3 that is made in america today. I did alot of delivering of automotive loads as a an 18 wheeler driver for 9 years, and in 2004 was the last year that Ford, GM, and Chrysler Corp. manufactured ALL OF THEIR PARTS in the USA. it is ASSEMBLED IN THE USA but the parts are from other countries. GM, and Chrysler are pretty much across the border in Canada. Ford is in Mexico. and all of the factory wiring is made in Mexico. We can thank that A$$ Bill Clinton for pushing the N.A.F.T.A agreement through which is what destroyed our economy. The current president just took a bad situation and made it worse. Our demands for oil is at an all time high. In mexico the oil companies are owned by the government and controlled by the government. Here it's the other way around and it has been proven time and time again. Both presidents with the last name of Busch, are super wealthy from owning Oil companies. just watch A&E's cable in the class room or look it up on the net if ya don't believe me.

Here's another thing that I can't stand. Alot of people complain gripe and moan yet do nothing about it. One guy did out in CA by building a car that gets 330 MPG's. Antoher guy out west showed up on pass time(Speed Network) with an all electric motor dragster. His time was 8.701 seconds in the quarter mile. that was impressive for an electric motor. greed is what is destroying us.

Not true. Back in 2000 I saw side curtian air bags for extended cabs. That would require a new headliner and pillar covers.
And if they went with seat mounted air bags, you only need to change the back frame slightly and add a escussion to the trim cover.
A whole new interior is quite a stretch of a comment to make.

I would like to see the Ranger live on, Although if it does die very soon, It might make the value of our trucks increase.
Either way, I am still going to get me an F100 when they come out. The Ranger is a small truck and I honestly dont think you could do curtain airbags on it (at least in the rear) cause the Jump Seats. I dont think it would be that safe if they have them in the rear.
