I want to see what the replacement is for the Ranger. I was more excited reading that thread then this one. It would be cool to keep the Ranger alive but too me I rather drive my 99 around then in the future buy a new F - 100
thats an 08 FX4

For personal greedy reasons i hope that the last year for the rangers would be 2008, just cause i have one. But it would be cool to see them stay longer aswell, i dont plan on getting another new ranger because i want to move up to a full size f-150, however i want to look into getting another older ranger for fun.

Cool, Now if only they advertised them a lot more than now. Right now I rarely see adds for the Ranger except on a rare occasion in a flyer. There are quite a few new rangers around here recently.

Everything is made overseas now, dude. Clothing, books, car parts, electronics, novelty items, light bulbs, EVERYTHING! It is so hard to find things with a tag that says "Made in the USA" anymore because we charge more than the other countries to make things.

The only reason we middle class people are becoming poorer is because everything is starting to go up in price, but we still aren't getting paid the same. All because of huge company mark ups, gas prices, and inflation (same thing as the first point, pretty much, just thought I needed a third point).

I hate to say this big D., but show me one of the big 3 that is made in america today. I did alot of delivering of automotive loads as a an 18 wheeler driver for 9 years, and in 2004 was the last year that Ford, GM, and Chrysler Corp. manufactured ALL OF THEIR PARTS in the USA. it is ASSEMBLED IN THE USA but the parts are from other countries. GM, and Chrysler are pretty much across the border in Canada. Ford is in Mexico. and all of the factory wiring is made in Mexico. We can thank that A$$ Bill Clinton for pushing the N.A.F.T.A agreement through which is what destroyed our economy. The current president just took a bad situation and made it worse. Our demands for oil is at an all time high. In mexico the oil companies are owned by the government and controlled by the government. Here it's the other way around and it has been proven time and time again. Both presidents with the last name of Busch, are super wealthy from owning Oil companies. just watch A&E's cable in the class room or look it up on the net if ya don't believe me.

Here's another thing that I can't stand. Alot of people complain gripe and moan yet do nothing about it. One guy did out in CA by building a car that gets 330 MPG's. Antoher guy out west showed up on pass time(Speed Network) with an all electric motor dragster. His time was 8.701 seconds in the quarter mile. that was impressive for an electric motor. greed is what is destroying us.

Not true. Back in 2000 I saw side curtian air bags for extended cabs. That would require a new headliner and pillar covers.
And if they went with seat mounted air bags, you only need to change the back frame slightly and add a escussion to the trim cover.

A whole new interior is quite a stretch of a comment to make.

Right now all of the big 3 are pushing their hybrids, and small cars because of the fuel thing. Their trucks pretty much aint going to change hardly at all. which is sad. we might see a couple of extra guages and maybe a color or 2 come out.

I would like to see the Ranger live on, Although if it does die very soon, It might make the value of our trucks increase.
Either way, I am still going to get me an F100 when they come out. The Ranger is a small truck and I honestly dont think you could do curtain airbags on it (at least in the rear) cause the Jump Seats. I dont think it would be that safe if they have them in the rear.
