air intake/ mas sensor?

i put an open air intake filter directly to stock filter setup. it was running cool at first but after a bit of running even idling it starts to bogg out i was wondering if i have to upgrade the mas sensor or if i could just run it without it. "side note my stock cover and filter got chewed up by my dog so i cant put it back on" thanks for ur time

if you got the extra cash grab a K&N drop in it you would have to replace it , all you have to do is clean it, unless you tare it
