Love mine, its just really flimsy... its funny waything the hood bounce from the wind hitting it while driving and I can see my headlights from the driver's seat

Thinking on this a little longer and decided that unless you NEED to do it then don’t.
It will lower temps in the engine bay but is lower temps necessary.
If just for looks, well you already have looks and what about the rain.

Think twice cut once.

looks good, has anyone thought about putting a brace in the middle and on the edges then running some mesh or something. That way it will still have support

I would think a small alum angle fiberglassed into the upper edge would support it better than just the plastic itself and a mesh would look good.
Good ideas, who ever posted them.

un less i sit on it no! i have no brace in the center... un less i sit on it or somthing of that nature its not going anywere. i can only move it about 1/2" at the vary most with my fingers, but thats good i want fiberglass to flex like that instead of being rigid and cracking. i have already hit my factory speed limiter (looks to be 92mph) and it does nothing.

Fiberglass needs to move a little BUT flexing ½” with your finger is too much.
Snow and just bumping around will cause problems through Material Fatigue, vibration and flex in the open area through bumps and truck movement will in time cause the hood to crack in that area.
It will happen !
Good Luck with it and it looks good and as with my raised hood it does reduce heat so enjoy.

ltr,
