slider window security

I have a slider rear window. The window was replaced with plexiglass when I bought it, I am assuming someone broke it out or broke it getting into the truck. My question, is there a way to better secure the window short of putting bars over it? Used to have little screw/clamp things for my slider windows at my old apartment. Is there something similar for these?

The bar thing sounds like a possiblity. Need to come up with an easy way to make it engage and disengage, but also not be able to be jimmied from the outside.
