what year models are you referring to, it does make a difference
Level II - was just started in 2003
STX - has come and gone and now come back again

keep in mind guys the guide really only works for 2006 models... Ford does change things from year to year... so older trucks may have different standard features, options, etc

Every Ranger is a version of either an XL or XLT. Ours are XLT's. I was just wondering why Ford calls the FX4 models Edges.

edge history...to my knowledge........

Sport --> Edge.........2006.....Edge goes back to Sport. No more Edge. Why...because there's the new Ford Edge...a mini SUV.

That's what I thought, but I was just going off of what he copied from the Ford site or wherever he got that info from.

just my two cents.. but as for the "Edge FX4s" all it means is that the FX4s are based off of the edge/sport body styles. Pretty much the FX4 is just the same damn thing as a Sport 4x4 plus skid plates. Yes there is no such thing as an Edge in 2006, but ford probably jut wanted to add that to its informational page to tell potential owners that the FX4s are based off of the edge/sport body style.. unlike before where they were based off th XLT
