Different Generation Skid Plate Compatibilities?

OK,

I took the fuel tank skid plate and transfer case skid plates off of my 93 and am looking to put them on my 2000. The transfer case plate seems to fit(bolts line up), I just need to run a couple spacers to drop it down and inch.

The fuel tanks are the same size, but doesn't look like this is going to fit. Will I be able to get this tank skid plate to work, or am I better off buying on for my truck. Where can I acquire a gas tank plate.

Thanks,

Tim

youll have to try it.

My gas tank skid plate came off a 2001 ranger. And at first it didnt look as thought it would fit. The only problem i ran into was the inner bolt that attaches next to the drive shaft. Had to drill a new hole... other than that it fit.

To buy the skid plat, your lookin at about $300 easy.

I watched Ebay for 2 YEARS for the gas tank skid plate... Paid like $150 for it... I wasnt about to be outbid.. lol Havent seen one since either.

Dam, even if it doesn't fit at that price I'll be willing to fab it up a bit and make it fit.

Thanks for the input
