Discouraged ranger owner
 

i havent been on in awhile and i havent even paid much attention to my truck for a while. it has been upsetting me alot lately. been dealing with a CV problem since i have had the truck and i am tired of dealing with it. on top of that i was driving down the road the other day and i hear a loud grinding for about a second, i go to slow down and my f*ckin wheel falls off. i got this truck to rid of problems when i had my WRX, between repairs and tickets for driving like an a$$hole. but since i have had this thing i have had nothing but problems. i mean i know i dont drive my vehicles nicely but i know there limits and what not to do.

idk i just had to vent real quick and i am hopefully getting the ranger back in one piece tomorrow and back on the road.

once you lift it and run something bigger than the truck is designed for you are dummed for issues. stuff just wears faster. cant really blame it on ford or the ford ranger

Man, that's too much to deal with. Hope you get a resolution.

Doc, who had an IFS lift kit, also had a lot of problems with CV's and driveshafts in the front. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that at least some of you problems are due to design deficiencies in the lift or it's installation as well.

Although, it's always possible to get a "lemon", even in a vehicle that is otherwise known for being decently constructed.

never had any probs out of my RCD.. and i was locked F&R with 37s

it's horror stories like yours that makes me glad i haven't f*cked with any of the suspension, sans torsion bar crank. i don't want my wheel falling off...
