Billet installed- curios...

Hey guys I bought my billet grills from ebay and installed it on my truck, but it is recessed back from the plastic shroud that the original "honeycomb" is mounted.

Is this normal, or did they send the wrong one do you think? the packages say its the right one.

ill get a pic of it when I get back home

Thanks!

I think that's normal. When your up close you notice it but from a distance it looks like the billet goes straight across.

I know my t-rex grille has 4 vertical bars behind the horizontal bars, at the bottom of the 4 vertical bars there is a hold in each bar that you drill holes in the plastic surround and put a rivot through.... you can fix the side edges though, where the horizontalbars arent flush against the surround. I just took the grill and put it on my leg and pressed down on the sides so it would "curve" the grille more and it will fit flush on the sides of your surround.

are you sure the grill surround is clipped all the way in?? you could put a couple washers between the grill mounts and frame thats what i did with my carriage works one but mine wassnt that big of a gap oh and you should cut the little tabs off the surround that may also be the cause of the gap
