Well, typically if you say you're going to drive your truck until the wheels fall off, you were counting on a lot more than 60k miles...
So I went to work and got a new hub assembly and installed it right there on the side of the road..
Got it back together and drove it home. Got up to go to school the next morning and my luck showed its true colors..

There was a wreck involving a police officer on a motorcycle and i was avoiding the intersection by cutting through a parking lot to get to my dad's shop to take tools back from fixing the hub assembly.. Well one of the cops directing traffic thought I was avoiding the police and he was yelling and hollaring at me. Well I look his way and he gives me the "c'mere finger" gesture. So as I'm looking at him, and start turning in his direction i found a 2 foot light pole in a 200 ft parking lot..

No, he was a complete *******. It was a county cop that was directing the traffic and a city cop who wrote the report. The county cop watched me hit the pole and turned around as if it never happened. When the city cop asked him if what I was saying was true for the report he denied that he had anything to do with it. He said that I must of been paying attention to the wreck that happened.

That sucks for the pole hitting, I can admit to that too. I was in a parking lot and doing a few complete 360 turns to try and figure out what a noise was coming from my front end. While I was only rolling very slow, I was paying too much attention to my drivers side tire with my head out the window looking down.......I didn't see that in my 360 degree turns that I was slowly getting closer to a 4' yellow corner post. Concrete doesn't give at all. My damage was nothing compared to yours though.
How did the hub assembly break in the first place? Nice roadside fix though!!
