get some of that "back to black" stuff from an auto store.. it does black plastics pretty well (like mirrors, handles, bumpers, etc..). buy a bottle of that stuff.. worth a shot

I rattle canned my front valance camo and didn't have a problem with it chipping. So I think you'll be just fine with paiting the handles if you wanted to.

I believe it's from Mothers. The mechanic at work used it on his mirrors and trim, it worked pretty darn good.

I use the Mother's Back to Black also. Works great, but like other cleaning/polishing products it doesn't last forever.

Mine are kinda dull too. I think I would opt for painting mine the same color as the truck though.

Mothers Back to Black works well, but like every other product, you have re-apply it periodically

Buy painted ones. My 98 came stock with colormatched handles. You could get a set somewhere.

Mine are faded as well, I just put tire shine on them every month or so. I use the liquid kind, not the spray kind... I imagine that would be a bit messy.

If you use a vinyl protectant, such as Armorall or Turtle Wax's vinyl protectant, which is what I use, one coat will not take the dullness out. Mine are dull also, and have a whitish hue to them. You have to put 3 or more coats of the vinyl protectant on, as many coats as it takes, to get the handles back to a nice solid black. And you have to do it again periodically. Since it doesn't take long to put 4 or more coats on, I just put up with the hassle.

Does anyone know if the earlier Ranger handles (the colormatched ones) would fit a 2002 Ranger? I have a white truck and have wanted to change the handles to the colormatched white ones but never knew if they would go right on.

I think thinks a cool option, but chrome ones would be cool. Back to black would be my last resort.

Where can you get chrome handles at?
