Ebay:Accelerator Horsepower Enhancer

Ok, so I was bored since I cant do anything else on this computer - its slowly dissintergrating... anyways, i was window shopping on Ebay and came acrossed this ad:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AAAQ%3ACA%3A1

Now I know its total BS and you know its total BS but I wanted to check their response to my question. Now, to get this out of the way, i am no mechanic by no means... so here it is:

"considering the changes in engines in the past 15 years with the ranger, how can one module work for all engines? in 1988 the ranger was carborator based, today, they are fuel injected... which leaves the question, is this for real or a bunch of BS? Also, if it were 'with in manafactuer guidelines' why dsidnt the manafactuers implement it?"

this is there response:

"Hi,
Some of the later model '88 Rangers were fuel injected, so they would be included in the Rangers that the Accelerator will work for. The Accelerator stays within the manufacturers guidelines in the fact that it will not remove any limiters that were implemented. As for why they didn't use a module such as this, your guess is as good as mine.
Thanks for your interest!
Kathy"

now, correct me if im wrong but doesnt their listing state the exact opposite?

I wouldnt trust anything under $250, honestly. You get what you pay for. This is much like the +10MPG Gas cap!

Itz just the IAT resistor thing that is major BS. They just put it in a fancy box to make it look expensive.

Agreed. I got a chuckle from it. "No More Speed Limit" was careful worded to sound like but not mean "no more speed limiter".

HaHa. Keep it legal:
if you add an APC sticker you will get like "up to" 100 extra horsepower.

Griggs already did. He made his own. He used some Resistors ( Radio shack maybe? Local electronice shop? ) in different tolerences and ran different octane fuels.

I can't remember the full outcome, its on his cardomaine though.
