can we use the new key with integrated remote?

Just as the title says the new ford keys have the remotes built into them. Has anyone tried programming one to our trucks?

Yes. I've seen it done on an 06 ranger before. Guy used ford focus or fusion ignition switch and keys.

your style PATS system does not communicate the way the newer vehicles do with the integrated fob. im about 99% sure it wont program to your keyless entry or your PATS system

that may very well be true. What gave me the idea though was when I locked the doors with the remote on my truck, it locked the doors on my friends brand new '13 F150 across the street. Dumb *** luck I could lock and unlock his doors and vice versa. The grooves on the keys are the same, as far as pats, that's still to be determined.

According to the research I just did, the new 80bit keys are backward comparable with the old 40 bit systems :)
