HEY I HAVE A 99 RANGER 4X4 3.0L IM LOOKING TO SWAP OUT THE REAREND FROM THE 7.5 TO AN 8.8 OUT OF A 94 RANGER AND I WANNA KNOW IF IT WILL BOLT IN

No need to use all capitol letters. Periods will help a bit too to between thoughts.


Yes it will bolt right in. But keep in mind there may be a difference in drum brake size. Also, your 99 should have rear ABS. I'm unaware if a '94 had rear ABS, therefore you may lose your rear ABS should you swap to this axle. It's likely missing the ABS tone ring inside the axle.

My bad about the cap lock I was at work and we leave the cap lock on. I'm not really worried about the abs. I'm going to redo the rear end and put 4.56 gears in it. I have already done my front axel and I found out I have a 7.5 with 4.10s in my ranger now. Thank you for your response.

with that gearing you should be able to handle some pretty good size tires :]

I would try to find a 98+ axle so you retain your ABS and it has the same brake drum sizes.


Are you running 33's or 35's or planning to run either?
