Probably not the computer, it is usually a wiring problem.
Have you or anyone else done ANY work on the vehicle recently?

Are there, or have there been, any water leaks in the cab?

U0001 means data communications between the many modules in the truck is interrupted.
Newer vehicles have a Controller Area Network(CAN), this is a sub system that links various systems in the vehicle, separate from "sensor" wiring, but in the same wiring harness's.
If the system's CAN can't get full check-in data from all devices/modules then system locks down the vehicle, this is for safety and to prevent theft by cutting wires(hot wiring).

Try moving wires around and even banging on the dash, the U0001 code will often clear itself once modules are "talking" again.
If code goes away for now it will most likely come back so you would need to take it to a Ford Dealer and have them test the CAN system, to see if it is a wiring or module issue.
It is a 2013 so there may be a TSB about this and a FREE repair, even out of warranty
