On my 94 B3000 I have to hold down one of the power seat button while I turn the key to get it to start... The dealer says it's a security feature, but I've never hear of anything like it. I've had the truck for 2 years now and it's never bothered me, I'm just wondering if anyone has ever heard of anything like it and if so, how to undo it so I can put on a remote ignition.

sounds like an after market alarm or kill switch... i have a kill switch i added to my truck but i wont say where lol..

 

yeah im a valet and there h been alot of cars like that it pissed me off to tell you the truth
but yeah its just a security system

 

my best friend used to have a 95 or so dodge ram and he had to turn the running lights on before his truck would start
