need brighter reverse lights

I have dark tints on the truck. It's really hard to see behind me if there are no street lights or lights period. I think they are 20% tints on the front but when they tinted the truck the rear was already tinted so they are even darker.... almost limo style. anyways any suggestions, would it be a bitch just to make the reverse lights leds or is there way brighter lamps i can just buy?

You could always upgrade to brighter bulbs or LED's (flame suit on)

Or buy auxiliary reverse lights

since you have an 03 in guessing you also have that years tails as well. you could swap up to 06+ tails with 100% clear reverse lights + silverstar plug ins.
OR (this is better too)
Buy an L.E.D. dome light deal from autozone or advance whatever and figure power and ground wires, wire it into reverse system, dremel tool same size square into back of tails, glue led pad in place, and seal it all up. they have 36led pads and are bright as *****.
OR (just a personal crazy idea, wanna see if youll do it, always wanted to)
wire in youre own system, relay, switch and all, and for reverse have headlight bulbs, figure out power and ground and you could have reverse headlights. same as before just dremel correct size hole and seal it up good. get correct wires and parts and fuses and go to town (if you do it, make me a how-to)

you think that would make a big difference by just upgrading to brighter bulbs?

They don't make LED headlight bulbs

I'll try to get a better pic of mine when it isn't raining, mine are from VLED

I just got these in the mail.
My anecdotal review of them:

they are the same brightness or marginally brighter than OE. the color is a nice crisp white, well made product, and very fast shipping. If I can find the same 5500 color but brighter replacement I'll be willing to give another set a try.

The ones I found so far are brighter but are less white. I'm going to keep my eyes out.

My backuplights, which are now directionals, use 27w std bulbs, very bright, even in the daylight.

Chk out high wattage bulbs, LEDs are nice but not always the brightest.

Here is a 3156,

http://www.amautosports.com/product....ht-bulbs-19294

Truck Add-On has HID 50 watt bulbs, if you need something brighter.

They work really good for me, they are brighter than stock by a long shot

I would actually like to try the ones you have. How expensive were they, or do you have the model number?

But I got these for free from KLC. Free makes them a little brighter lol
