Explorer horn in 07 ranger?

The horn in my 07 is pretty weak. The one on my old explorer was more than sufficient.
Can I find a late model horn from an explorer and "plug and play"?

The horn I see on my truck is right behind the grille on the passenger side.

I can't answer your question exactly..but I just ordered these yesterday to replace my stock weak horn:

Piaa #85110
115 decibels
400hz/500hz

From what I can see..they are pretty simple to install...simple splice & tap into the stock horn wires.

yes it will work. im not sure about the connectors tho. some BUTT connectors will solve that issue. but yes it will work. I have Crown Vic horns on my truck. loud

you can put whatever horns you want on your truck. my truck has caddy horns. beefy :)

it should work, if the plugs wont work, then make it work, i used late model mustang horns in my 2006

i ordered explorer horns last night, thanks guys.
there might be one catch...
from the photos it looks like they need a plug, no wires coming out of the male connectors recessed in the housing

maybe i can just seal off where the plug goes and wire tap the two leads that interconnect the high/low tones??

thoes will plug right in

Thanks guys,
much appreciated SVT, you are correct they were plug and play!
all i needed to do was use a 8mm wrench, remove the bolt, remove the single tone chincy horn (srsly Ford?!) then i modified the explorer bracket slightly
the arm thats bent in, inverse it, bend it out instead and rebend the tab. Loosen the nuts to rotate the horns so they face down for water ect.

bend the locking tab flat so it'll sit flush, plug harness back in, refasten the bolt.

Horn sounds just like my former explorer did, factory LOUD. 15 minute mod.
