Failed?? Engine swap

I thought I could put all the accessories off a blown 99 2.3 onto a good 94 2.3 long block.. and end up with a correct OBD2 engine for my 99 Ranger.. All was going well till I tried to fit The 99 water pump on the 94 so that the water intake hose would clear the OBD2 crank sensor .. DeadEnd!! Lower bolt hole is a half inch off?? Any solutions?? Is this a possible swap for me?? Could there be a 99 compatible water pump?? Thanks.. I’m really in a jam.. Gar

Welcome to the forum

No, it won't work, the 1994 block crank sensor won't work with 1999 computer, not a wire issue, its a signal issue

Can't speak to the water pump issue

And 1999 would have a 2.5l engine not that that matters, same Lima engines
You would need a 1995-2001 2.3l or 2.5l Lima engine, Duratec engine also won't work
