Fender Replacement

I went over to check out my truck following the frame replacement (which means I'll REALLY have to check everything out underneath the truck mod-wise when I get it back for good) and discovered that they forgot to replace my one mud flap, never mounted another mudflap properly, and more or less never repaired any of the original issues I detailed for them. In particular, the passenger side fender still looks terrible, even worse than before IMO. This being said, I'm at my limit with having my truck at the shop and if necessary I intend to remove and replace the front passenger fender myself. I wanted to see if anyone has done this before and if so if they have any information to share on the matter. I'll post pictures of it when I get the chance.

get some stainless fender spacer washers.....then it is all a matter of unbolting the old one and bolting on the new one using the washers to line up the new fender properly.......you shouldn't need to add anymore than is already there from the old fender, just remember were they went at..........and there may not even be any on there now.....

you will have to take the headlight out, and the fender flare, then there are botls on top, behind the headlight, under the flare, and infront of the door....

Cool deal, many thanks Maurice. I get to talk to the bodyshop this morning about it...but the fender looks like hell and I'm tired of telling them to repair the same things over and over and yet they continue to ignore them (and me). So much for customer service.

that does suck.......i hate dealing with insurances/body shops.......

if you have to replace it, you should be able to take yours off and put the new one on.......if it doesn't line up, then the fender washers are your best bet to use to allign the fender......

hope it all works out for ya..........how are they coming along on the frame replacement? i bet that is a hell of a job....
