do ranger owners have camaraderie? the random ranger connection

Most toyota corolla owners don't even know if they have a V6, V8, I4 or how many speeds their transmission has (the last car I drove frequently was a corolla).

Although 80% of the drivers don't care, I found that certain ranger owners share camaraderie with me because of the truck. I drive past this gen2, 2wd, black, ranger on 29's on the way to class maybe 1-2 times every couple weeks, and everytime he sees me, he checks to see if I'm looking at his truck (because he's obviously looking at mine) and waves.

Tonight I was out at 2AM practicing 'how to drive in this new fallen snow' (and ended up sideways, and in circles ) when I saw a newer generation ranger doing the same thing. Eventually he joined me in the parking lot I was in and we took turns drifting and spinning. There was no personal interaction...we didn't flag each other down and talk...we just did donuts for about 20 mins then left.

Does anyone else notice a camaraderie towards other RANDOM ranger owners on the street?

Or is it no more than a corolla owner?

Yup I do, every now and again, I get the thumbs up or a wave (allot more waves in the summer, its butt cold here now LOL) I see it most often with jeep wranglers, my buddy use to have one and ALL the time people were honking or waving....

there's a V8 Corolla? I need to get one of those bad boys!

Unfortunately, no I don't have that here. 90% of local Rangers around here are driven by Elderly men and women ( like older than Griggs and Bob by 15 years easily lol) or Migrant workers. I can count probably 30-40 Rangers in my daily routine, always different ones too, and I might see one or two modified ones a week.

I try and give them the nod and the wave or cut them off so they can see my RF stickers but I've never seen another Brandon Ranger join....

I don't get that here either. I'll get comments by people in general because of my grille and blingin chrome, but not Ranger strangers in particular.

there are so many rangers where i live (MN, home of the ranger) that people don't get excited when they see one (even if it is all customized) i guess they are "burnt out" on rangers LOL... but, i do check other rangers out and i'm sure people check mine out from time to time.

Ya I get it some times, they'll wave or whatever and every now and then they'll stop and say nice truck or something like that. There are a ton of Rangers around here, but only 7 or so are modded.

Not many rangers here either, most are stock and 4cyl 2wd trucks. I do see one occasionally and I had a good time talking to the guy who owned the mazda truck which I sold my rims too. However I never see a modded ranger, makes me unique sorta haha.

Nothing here, 90% of the trucks are chevies with body lifts showing 10" of frame with stock wheels, cheap *** tires, and flowmaster exhausts.
