'03 ranger taillight help

My driver side taillight is building some condensation on the inside.

I've checked ebay for aftermarket housings. When the auction says '03, there's THREE openings for lights... but mine has the white up top and then one more bulb in the middle for the stop/running/turn functions.

The auctions that mention '01 have only TWO openings, just like my ranger...

Can anyone confirm which is which?

Thankz.

yeah, you have the '01-'05 tails, but '06+ will work too. Earlier Rangers have the 3-bulb setup, but with a little wiring, you can convert yours, though I don't know why you would want to for stock tails.

Just remember James, we got it good having a Certifit just around the corner. Not everybody is as fortunate.
But yeah, Ebay or better prices for brand new.

This is what the Ranger has on her a$$:

This one CLAIMS it's for my Ranger, but there's THREE holes:

This is one that I want (because of the price), but the newest Ranger it "fits" is the '01:

the last one should work since it's only 2 bulbs. As far as fitment goes, all 95+ will bolt in, just the bulb setup thats changed. Then again, I'm about to mod some 95-99 "3-bulb" led tails for my '05.

You had a dummy? I have the same tails as you, and only have 2 bulb holes, and 2 bulbs.

Edit: are you sure you had stock '03 tails? did they have amber on them, or all red?

I checked RPS... does the fact that I've got a stepside make a difference?

I'm still confused after reading that thread.

I'm not sure the bulb numbers, but it was single filament in the reverse (white) and turn signal bulbs (amber), and dual in the tail/stop bulbs (red).

Step side and fleet side are the same. STX uses a Mazda bed, and therefore are different.

Step side and fleet side are different. Fleet side beds are the ones that are basically flat on the sides. Step sides look similar to dually beds and have a step in front of the rear tire. As for the tail lights, some people have had problems with some tail lights fitting and others have had none. Usally just a lil trimming is all that is needed to make the light fit. Its really just a hit or miss thing.

Go to rockauto and they have them for $37, $36 or $31. They are not ford brand parts but I have the "standard" quality ($36) ones on the truck now for months and you can't tell a difference.

The post was in reference to whether they use the same light. They do. And if you wanna get technical, it's style side and flare side.

I forgot it was about tail lights. When I saw that I was just thinking about bed types. Thats what I get for getting on RF that early in the morning.
