finallyy..

hey guys today in school, i finally got my glasspack installed. cut down my old muffler, attached everything.. clamped everything... done. but there appears to be some little problems, when i took down my old muffler i had to cut the hangers off, so now, my exhaust moves and my tail pipe rides the underneith of my truck and i dont know how i can install a hanger under my truck that works, right now i am just using some like aluminum stuff wrapped around the frame rail and bolted still but it still moves.

also, i got a new 2.5 inch tip and there are two bolts that you turn to tighten it against the tail pipe well one of the inside threads of the exhaust tip got stripped so i cant thread the screw in to tighten it, right now it is just being held on by one screw, any suggestions on how i can get it to stay in without having to thread it again.

ill be sure to post some pics sooner or later.

thanks guys.

just use a simple metal rod and make a hangar yourself. Weld it to the muffler and then the the original location....maybe a differnt one..

ya lol i already did the other day, and found out it doesnt look good. but anyways, i just wannt use this tip if i possibly could. the tip fits pipes up to 2 5/8 so its roundness is bigger than my tailpipes roundness, so i dont think i can weld it there.

but here is my problem, how can i get the tip to stay on, b/c i over tightened the screws and they stripped the threads out in the tip, so it wont stay fastened to my tail pipe. anyone have any creative ideas for me to get this tip on my tail pipe.

thanks

maybe you can use a hose clamp to keep it on or use an exhaust clamp.
