Firearms in trucks

A recent thread got me thinking about carrying a gun or guns in my truck. I 100% of the time without fail carry a gun in my truck. Usually its my Kel-Tec .380 but sometimes I carry that along with my Taurus PT 140 or my Beretta 96 Vertec.

What do you guys carry?

PS. All you anti gun, hippy, liberal, canadian, communists keep your **** out of this thread.

I always have a .38 in the truck or on my hip, it prefers to stay on my hip though. I also have a .22 six shooter in there right now, sometimes I have my 30-06 and 12 ga. in there too.

If I manage to trade my 870 off, I'll be carrying a CZ 32 once i turn 21.

Currently I have this in my truck from time to time. It may be harder to get to, but it packs a hell of a lot more bang

generally it has 2, 2 3/4" 000B shells and a slug in it.

Mk, 3 photobuckets haha

I wish that I had a gun, but I just don't have the money. 4 years of college will do that to you. I might get one in the summer.

If I could carry, I would carry the same as my dad. A 1911 Colt 45 on his hip. A .22 Single Six in his glove box. I'm thinking of a gun rack for him in his Yota.

I was wondering for all of you experienced gun owners out there, how much could I get an inexpensive had gun for. Nothing fancy but I don't want a piece of crap, and I don't mind if it is used.
Also where would the best place to get one?

My dad just got a 300 from a local pawn shop. Great gun. I can't remember the exact amount he paid for the gun, but it was under $300, and it came with a nice shoulder strap, scope, and an extra clip.

I have seen cheap hand guns at local pawn shops too.

Can you guys carry loaded firearms in your vehicle legally? I wish we could in mn, but it has to be unloaded and cased, unless you have a conceal and carry.

To be honest, a good handgun could go for about $200-$500 bucks. $200 being great reliable guns but used or on sale. 500 usually paying for looks, grips, material (high tech materials). Go for a semi automatic and if you have a friend who shoots, have him show you how to shoot or take lessons. I buy usually from a local Gander Mountain, Sportsmans Warehouse or Cabelas. Sportsmans is really friendly and great support around here. Could be just Minnsota nice though ahha

Trust me, conceal and carry is worth it. It takes time but in the end can be a life saver.

We can carry loaded and it does not have to be in a case.

Well unless you buy it from someone you know do not buy it. $100 for a hand gun is way to low. The quality is not going to be there nor with the safety be.

If you want a shotgun you can get a brand new Mossberg 500 for under $250. They are great guns.

Well there is no option for me to fill in 5 at once but they all have been in my truck on a daily basis deciding on what one I choose to carry in the morning for the day depending on how I feel and my mood.

Mostly its Glock 19, Or my smith m&p compact 9mm, or one of my smith and wesson .357 revolvers

But lately all I have been carrying is my Sig Suaer P229 40 S&W Its definitely my new favorite carry gun and its fullsize to boot.

And I definitely carry loaded and one chambered ready to go, whats the point of carrying a gun if you have to pull the slide back to rack one in the chamber in an event?

I just put down the gun that I carry the most.

Crazy! Pistols here need to be locked in a case for trasportation. You also need prior approval before transporting them every time. Transporting a loaded gun, rifle or pistol, here = a hefty fine and perhaps your firearms rights taken away.

Duh, its not like you want to be in a situation where you need a quick draw, pull the trigger and realize oh F@#! I forgot to chamber the round. Then die... So loaded and chambered is the best idea.
