if you have a 4 wheeler or snowmachine(snowmobile for losers) then you would want the styleside.

Otherwise, the flare sides look better and they can haul a decent load.

Flaresides will hold a twin bed. Styleside will hold a few small boxes around the the twin bed.

So cargo capacity is really not a big deal between them. Unless few inches of girth matter to you.

theres actually quite a difference between the two. it doesnt SOUND like much but it is. the flareside cant haul much and unless u get a 4door, the back of the cab on the flareside looks retarded and unfinished. If you ever want to haul anything the flairside will NOT offer much room... where as the styleside u have oodles more room.

I actually wanted a flareside when i was picking out trucks, dad talked me into the styleside, im glad he did.

I have a flareside and really want a styleside. I want to put a camper shell on and I think the flareside camper looks stupid o it.

My old truck was a flareside and I liked the look so much more than my styleside bed i have now. I would trade my bed for a flareside in a heartbeat.

cost maybe??? the fact that its fiberglass, and its shape is more complex, probably is more expensive, time consuming to make. On the stylesides, all they have to do is stamp the sheet of metal.

Ford discontinued the ranger also, didn't they? Nothing great lasts forever.

Styleside is like Asian people, there's billions of them and you see them everywhere.

The flareside option was about 600 dollars, IIRC on my sticker.

I like the styleside on the ranger. Its smooth. I dont like the flareside on the ranger because the cab just ends and then the bed is 6 inches in. It just looks weird.

But i do like the flare side on the F-150 because they made it a smooth transition between the cab and the bed

Stepsides will never rust out! lol

My stepside/flareside is a love/hate relationship. Can't haul nothing. Looks great. Personal opinon : I will never get another. Function > looks.

44.50" X 71.25" Flareside

3170.625 Square inches

51.50" X 71.25" Styleside

3669.375 square inches.

Bed mat dimensoins from http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/pr...tegory=bed_mat

500 square inches of floor space is the difference. By no means is that a large difference. If your looking to haul a 4x8 sheet of anything you need a fullsize long bed. Which is the reason i bought a ranger.

I had a long bed f150. Got sick of moving everyone and thier brother for 10 bucks in gas and lunch.

Around here flaresides seem to be rare. 1 in 10 rangers i see are flaresides. YMMV
