fog lights
Is there a way to make the fog lights stay on when the high beams on? If so how.

Not legally.

No
The reason for that is fog is usually not down to ground, there is a foot or two of clear air below the fog, which is why fog lights are always mounted down low, and usually yellow light High beams just reflect off the fog so makes it even harder to see, like a "white out" You would have to check local laws to see if you can use "driving lights", i.e. extra "headlights" added to front of a vehicle, driving lights are not fog lights, and visa versa |
I'm just trying to get more light out there because when I drive at night it's on reads that are pitch black so my fog lights have been replaced with "off-road lights" so I'm not worried about it being legal anyways.

In the engine bay fuse box is the Fog Light relay
Its coil only has 12v with Low beams on Fog light switch in the cab Grounds the coil to activate fog lights, but when High Beams are on the Low beams lose the 12v and so does the Fog Light Relay If you were to supply the fog light relay coil with Key ON 12v power then they could be turned on any time, headlights on or off, low or high, wouldn't matter, but they would shut off with key off, unlike the headlights You would need to find the dark green/light green wire under the relay, the 12v from low beam wire, and cut it, then splice on a 12v key on wire for relay end of cut wire |
Ok thank you for your help.
